Getting started
What is Aitho?
Aitho is your private stage manager for presentations. Your script follows your voice, your slides move as you speak, and when a question comes, a suggested answer from your own material appears on your screen.
What do I need to start?
A free account. Use the sample talk that comes with it, or your own PDF or PowerPoint. No card.
Do I have to change my slides?
No. Bring the deck you have; Aitho doesn't edit it. It takes PDF and PowerPoint (.pptx or .ppt), so export Keynote, Google Slides or other formats to PDF first.
Do I need to write a script?
A script is optional, but it helps Aitho follow your voice. Paste or type what you'll say on each slide, or use Draft with AI for a first draft from your slides and then edit it in your own words. AI script drafts are included in Pro and Presenter Pro.
Presenting live and the room screen
What does the audience see?
Your slides and nothing else. Your script, notes and private answers stay in the Presenter View on your own screen.
How do the slides move?
Each slide advances when you reach its words, so you need no clicker and nobody has to wait for “next slide, please”. Spoken commands like “next slide” and “go to slide 3” also work, and you can move slides by hand at any time.
What happens if I go off script?
Keep talking. If you pause, the script waits; when your words return to the script it catches up, and if you skip ahead, it follows.
Can it run on the event's presentation laptop?
Yes, if that laptop has a browser with internet. Open aitho.app/cast on it, tap Show on a screen in your talk to get a 6-digit code, and enter the code; your slides follow your voice from there.
Can I mirror my phone to the projector instead?
Please don't. Mirroring shows the whole phone, including your script. Use your 6-digit code at aitho.app/cast, so the room screen shows your slides and nothing else.
Zoom, Teams and Meet
Does it work on Zoom, Teams and Google Meet?
Yes. Open the Audience Stage window and share that window in your meeting. Remote viewers see your slides, moving as you speak.
Should I share my whole screen?
No. Sharing your whole screen, or mirroring your display, can show your script. Share the Audience Stage window itself; if the wrong window ever gets shared, one key blanks everything private.
Help with audience questions
How does the question help work?
When a question comes, hold the button and repeat it, or type it. A suggested answer drawn from your own slides and documents appears on your screen, not the room's.
Where do the answers come from?
From your slides and the documents you attach, such as notes, a proposal, pricing or a spec; with none added, it answers from the deck itself. If your material doesn't cover the question, Aitho can look it up on the web, using your question, not your documents. Pro includes 300 web lookups a month and Presenter Pro has no limit.
Privacy and your voice
Where does my voice go?
It is used to keep your place in the script and is not stored. On the web it goes to your browser's own speech service, or to Aitho's own servers if you choose that mode. In the phone app, recognition runs on the phone when the phone supports it.
Is my content used to train AI models?
No. When you ask for an answer, the text of your slides, your attached documents and your question are sent to Anthropic to draft the reply, and your content is not used to train models.
Devices and offline
Can I use it on my phone?
Yes: in any browser, with the iPhone app on the App Store, and with the Android app on Google Play. The same account works on all of them.
Does it work offline?
In the iPhone and iPad app, Apple's on-device recognizer runs on the phone, so following your script works offline. The room screen at aitho.app/cast needs a browser with internet, and answers to audience questions need a connection.
Plans and billing
What's in the free plan?
The voice-following script, your own PDF or PowerPoint (or the sample talk), any browser plus iPhone and Android, spoken slide commands, and three private answers to try. The three answers are a one-time allowance, not monthly. Free needs no card.
How much are Pro and Presenter Pro?
Pro is $39 a month and adds unlimited answers from your own material, 300 web lookups a month and AI script drafts. Presenter Pro is $79 a month and adds unlimited web lookups, a readiness check, opt-in session insights, interview, podcast and teacher modes, and AI assistant connections. Yearly billing is $390 for Pro and $790 for Presenter Pro, two months free.
Can I cancel or get a refund?
You can cancel at any time; your plan keeps working until the end of the period you paid for, and your talks stay in your account. If you subscribed on the web, email help@aitho.app within 14 days of your first payment for a full refund. App Store purchases are refunded by Apple.
Judged events
Can I use Aitho in a pitch competition, a 3-minute thesis or a graded talk?
Use Aitho to rehearse as much as you like. Judged events have their own rules on notes and assistance, and those rules apply on the day.
What about TEDx or PechaKucha?
Rehearse with Aitho. TEDx talks are given without notes on stage and PechaKucha runs on a fixed slide timer, so the event's rules apply on the day.
For organisers
How do we run Aitho for several speakers?
Open aitho.app/cast on the presentation laptop and make it full screen. Each speaker taps Show on a screen to get their own 6-digit code; enter it and their slides appear, then enter the next speaker's code at the changeover.
Does the presentation laptop need an account or an install?
No. It needs an up-to-date browser and an internet connection to open aitho.app/cast. Each speaker's account stays on their own phone or laptop.
Can our speakers get free access?
Yes. Email help@aitho.app with your event and roughly how many speakers, and we'll switch on Presenter Pro for them, free.
Using Aitho in Claude or ChatGPT
How do I add Aitho to Claude?
In Claude, open Customize → Connectors and add Aitho from the directory, or add a custom connector with the URL https://present.aitho.app/mcp. Sign in to your Aitho account when asked; Claude doesn't see your Aitho password.
Is Aitho available in ChatGPT?
Aitho is in review for ChatGPT's Plugins directory. Once it is listed, you add it from Plugins in the ChatGPT sidebar and sign in to Aitho.
What can my assistant do with Aitho?
It can build a talk from your deck, write your speaker script slide by slide, attach the documents your private Q&A answers from, and move your slides while you present. On the free plan you can create one talk from your assistant; creating more needs Presenter Pro.
Something not answered here? Email help@aitho.app and a person replies, usually within one business day.
