How to Rehearse a Google Slides Presentation Out Loud

Export your Google Slides deck as a PDF or PowerPoint, import it into Aitho, and rehearse out loud: your script follows your voice and your slides advance as you speak.

Google Slides has presenter notes, but reading notes while you talk is hard to do well. Rehearsing out loud is how the words stop living in the notes.

Four steps

  1. Export from Google Slides. In Google Slides, choose File, then Download, then Microsoft PowerPoint (.pptx) or PDF document.
  2. Import into Aitho. Sign in and import the file. Aitho never edits your slides.
  3. Add what you'll say. Paste your script, write a few lines per slide, or let Aitho draft a first pass from your slides and edit it in your own words.
  4. Rehearse out loud. Speak the talk. The script follows your voice, the word you're on is highlighted, and your slides advance as you reach each slide's words. If you lose your place, keep talking and it catches up.

Then practise the questions

When you finish, practise the questions you're likely to get. Answers are drawn from your own slides and documents and appear only on your screen.

Questions

Can I rehearse a Google Slides deck in Aitho without rebuilding it?

Yes. Export it from Google Slides as a PDF or PowerPoint file and import that file. Aitho does not edit your slides.

Do I need to write a full script?

No. You can paste what you plan to say, write a few lines per slide, or let Aitho draft a first pass from your slides and edit it in your own words.

What does the audience see?

Only your slides. Your script stays on your own screen.
